A new Danish Christmas song with soul, intimacy and blues in its blood.
When darkness falls early and the winter cold settles in, Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado light a warm flame in the December night with their new Christmas single “Julenat” – a heartfelt and atmospheric duet featuring songstress Kira Skov.
Julenat is a blues-tinged ballad about longing, light and love in the heart of winter’s darkness and the first song by Thorbjørn in Danish.
With Risager’s distinctive, soulful vocals and Kira Skov’s intense presence, a unique meeting takes place between two worlds: raw blues and poetic melancholy.
“We wanted to make a Christmas song that wasn’t about gifts and glitter, but about that time of year when we feel both loss and hope most deeply,” says Thorbjørn Risager.
